History
2010
"Jysk" refers to a region of Denmark where our company took roots. Today we are much larger and to reflect our status as an international travel company, we changed our name on January 1 to Visit Beyond. We now have 9 offices worldwide and we continue to expand. And don't worry, all of our fantastic trips such as Lake House Adventure and SeaSafari are still available to you, but under a new name!
Thank you all for your support. Please take a moment to visit our new VisitBeyond Facebook page

2007
Our philosophy is to show our customers unique facets of Asia. We are proud to debut Jysk Travel’s very own cruise ship in the Philippines, The Hans Christian Andersen, with room enough for 46 guests. The Hans Christian Andersen sails around amazing tropical surroundings and world-class snorkeling and dive sites, the likes of which you will not find with other travel companies.
2006
We have opened three new service centers in Nairobi, Beijing and Cuzco. We have also completed construction of Koh Kood Beach Resort, situated on an untouched island on Thailand's west coast. Perfect for families and travelers who want to escape the hustle and bustle of their daily lives to a tropical atmosphere where life moves at a relaxed pace.
2005
Sales office opens in Oslo.
2004
Jysk Travel chosen again as the “Leisure Travel Agency of the Year” award.
2002
Jysk travel awarded “Friends of Thailand Award” and elected the Danish travel Award as “Leisure Travel Agency of the Year”(the travel industry’s equivalent of an Oscar).

Overseas Service Centers extend to Vietnam, China and Kenya. In Bangkok, Thailand, we have invested heavily in the New Road Guest House with an aim to create a base where travelers can meet to relate their experiences and swap travel tips. At the same time, we are establishing a local travel agency in Thailand which sells tours and overnight stays for travelers.
2000
Jysk Travel opens the new millennium by opening our fifth office in Denmark, Odense department.
1990's
Throughout the 1990s, Jysk Travel develops with new sales offices in Copenhagen and Aalborg, service centers in Kathmandu, Delhi, Bali and Venezuela.
1988
After a trip to the East, we touched upon the idea of having a service center in Asia. We subsequently founded the first office in Bangkok in 1988. Free use of the service center aroused enthusiasm among customers and the idea spread to Nepal, India and Bali.
1982
Jysk Travel founded in Aarhus. The first two owners / employees, Mogens and Birgitte quietly built a concept around individual travel where advice and good service are prioritized. Jysk Travel’s philosophy is to provide excellent independent travel experiences. “What we experience, we would like to share with others” says the Mogens and Birgitte Jacobsen.
