Traveling Responsibly

Traveling responsibly is a pillar of our philosophy. To us, it means two things: respect for the environment and respect for local cultures.

The most amazing places are often in remote areas, which means you must travel far and wide to get the most from your experience. Thus, we work hard to reduce your carbon footprint.

Traveling responsibly means you get more out of your holiday. You will see and do everything you want while knowing that you've done your part to make the world a better place.

Responsible travel means bringing you closer to local people and participating in the culture. By involving locals in your travel experiences, you foster healthy and robust intercultural connections. By employing local guides your eyes will open to their culture and way of life. They will earn deserved income and, naturally, they do a far better job than foreign guides who read a bit of history.

A few tips for responsible travel:

Before leaving home
- Book your travel with train and public transport
- read about local cultures and learn a few phrases
- remove all excess packaging

While traveling
- ask your tour operator how you might help the local community
- buy local produce
- respect the local culture, traditions and holy places
- use public transport, bike, or walk when convenient. (A great way to meet locals!)

When you get back
- give feedback to tour operators about the trip, including suggestions and comments
- send pictures or gifts back to locals you met while traveling
- savor your memories and prepare for your next trip!
