5 Days Hill and Lagoon Tour

A slender green sliver of land clinging to the south western flank of the Indian peninsula, Kerala is one of the southern states of the Republic of India. Though it's roots date back to the early years of the christian era, the modern state of Kerala was created in 1956, when all the states of India were reorganized on a linguistic basis. History was created in 1957, when Kerala became the first state in the world to have democratically elected a Marxist government to power.

NOTE: If you arrive late on day 1 then the sight seeings of day 1 will be spread along with day 2 and day 3 activities.

Kerala experiences pleasant weather throughout the year. It is a paradise for tourists. The ideal time to visit Kerala:- The best time to visit Kerala would be in the months of October to March. These months are usually the high season for Kerala visit.

Day 1: Cochin

Arrive and Transfer to Hotel – After Afternoon proceed for city Tour-Visit Jewish Synagogue, St.Francis Church where Vasco Da Gama was buried, Dutch Palace, Chinese fishing nets and by evening board a boat for sunset backwater cruise. Overnight in hotel.

Day 2: Cochin

After Breakfast proceed to visit the famous Guruvayoor Temple – [100kms 2 ½ hrs] where several 100 weddings are solemnized everyday – visit the elephant yard where 100 elephants owned by the temple authorities are being fed later visit the beautiful waterfalls of Athirampally and Cherai Beach which was struck by Tsunami. Arrive Cochin by evening for shopping and at 8 pm visit the most beautiful Rosary Park attached to a very famous Church called Vallarppadam Church – Overnight in Hotel.

Day 3: Cochin - Munnar

After breakfasts checks out at 8 am and proceed to Munnar [140 kms 3½ hrs] – enroute visit an elephant training camp. Here one gets a chance to have an elephant ride into the forest – arrive Munnar by noon and check into a beautiful resort. Afternoon visit tea factory situated at an altitude of 8000 ft above sea level - Return to town for spice shopping –overnight in resort.

Day 4: Munnar - Alleppey

After an early breakfast check out at 8 am to proceed to Alleppey to board the Houseboat (a traditional boat built to carry coconut, rice and spices from coast to coast) which offer accommodation for a family with sitting room, bedroom and kitchen – overnight in Houseboat.

Day 5: Alleppy - Airport

After Breakfast check out and proceed to Airport to catch flight back home.
