It's one of the favorite destinations of every adventure enthusiast and rafting down the mighty Ganges is every adventure seekers dream come true. You don’t have to know swimming, and no prior white water rafting experience is necessary.
The holy river Ganges offers another side to it. A rafting trip here not only gets your adrenaline pumping but also gives you an insight about the lives of people living around it. About the local beliefs of the region and how the river has come to be a part of their everyday life! Right from the time of birth till death, the water from the river is needed to complete the rituals of a Hindu’s life.

WHAT TO BRING:
Sneakers 02 pairs, warm cloths for the evening, light cloths for the river, towel, swim suits/shalwar suit, shorts, suntan lotion, torch, binoculars ( if you want to watch birds ), river sandals or any kind of rubber sleepers, toilet and personal.
Day 01: Delhi to Haridwar/Rishikesh (drive: 05 – 06 hours)
Drive to Haridwar and have a look at the holy town situated at the banks of river Ganges. The main focus of activity is along the Ganga and on the bathing ghats. Har-ki-Pauri is the main ghat, with bridges and walkways connecting smaller islands in the river. The modern Bharat Mata Temple is an eight-storeyed edifice 5 kms north of the centre. The temple dedicated to ‘Mother India’ has images of important historical figures and Hindu deities. Night stay at a budget hotel in Rishikesh.
Day 02 & Day 03: Rishikesh
After Breakfast, introduction meeting with the rafting guide. Today and tomorrow you will be given half day rafting trips. Each day, after breakfast, you will be driven to the rafting point and begin rafting. Afternoons are mostly floats past the temples, ashrams and ghats – it provides an interesting eye view to see the going on’s from the river itself. There will also be a combination of river walks and beach games –depending on the number of people in the camp. watch the religious ceremony at the Triveni ‘ghat’ (river bank).
Day 04: Rishikesh departure
After breakfast, Local sightseeing in Rishikesh and Haridwar. Walk to Lakshuman Jhula, a swing bridge, where you can cross over and take a walk through the lovely forest to arrive at Ram Jhula – the cross over point to the Right Bank. The area is lined with beautiful temples, ashram, and small shops selling trinket items. Later time permitting, go on top of the Neel Parvat across the Ganga stands the Chandi Devi temple. Built in 1929 by the Maharaja of Kashmir, the last kilometre or so to the temple can be traversed on foot (which will take long time) or on a cable car from the Gauri Shankar temple. After lunch, drive back to Delhi or carry on to Uttarkashi to join our ongoing trips.
