The tour will take you through stunning nature, and you’ll get in touch with the local people, and visit beautiful temples, well known as well as unknown. You will also get a boat ride on the river dividing Thailand and Burma.

Day 1 Bangkok-Mae Sot:
Departure from Bangkok at 7:00 a.m. We drive to Mae Sot by mini-van with a few stops on the way. In Mae Sot we will visit the border market between Thailand and Burma, you can enjoy the nice atmosphere and afterwards we will take you to a large lying white Buddha. (L, D).
Day 2 Mae Sot-Mae Sariang:
We depart from Mae Sot at 8 a.m. and drive along the Burmese border before we enter the Wat Don Kaew temple, which hosts a large granite Buddha. After the temple we will head for Nam Tok Mae Kase Waterfall. Next stop is Tham Mae Usu lime stone caves, which we will explore if the water level in the river allows it. In the afternoon we check in at the hotel for the next two nights, before we go to Mae Um Lung to swim and relax in the hot springs. (B, L, D)
Day 3 Mae Sariang:
We depart from the hotel at 8 a.m. and go to the Salawin River; this river is in between Thailand and Burma. You will see green jungle on both sides and steep cliffs rises in the horizon. We will visit a small local village with just 5 bamboo huts, and take a walk in the jungle leading to a small waterfall. Depending on the season it’s possible to take a swim. On the way back we visit a bigger village where we have lunch. After lunch we visit 4 local temples, visiting all 4 means good luck. We enjoy dinner back at the hotel. (B, L, D)
Day 4 Mae Sariang-Mae Hong Son:
Today’s drive will take you through some of the most beautiful nature in Thailand, and the landscape changes drastically along the way. On the way to Mae Hong Son we will stop to see the mountain village Khun Yuam. After arriving at our hotel in Mae Hong Son we go for the elephant camp for some elephant riding in the area near the river Pai. The dinner will be in a cheerful atmosphere with romantic live music. Day 5 Mae Hong Son:
Today's program is sightseeing around the beautiful postcard-like town, Mae Hong Son. We will visit the local Longnecks and the fish cave in the forest park called Thamblah. We continue to Mae Aw which is located on a mountain top near the Burmese border. Old Chinese freedom fighters live here. Next stop is a Coffee plantation and after a short walk you will reach a huge lake. This is the area called ‘Switzerland of Thailand’ where you can enjoy the tranquil area with green mountains. On the way back we stop at a mud spa situated at a natural hot spring. Here you will have a mud facial mask treat and take a swim in the hot spring. (B, L, D)
Day 6 Mae Hong Son-Chiang Mai:
Early breakfast will be served, before heading out to Chiang Mai at 7:00 a.m. We’ll reach Pai for lunch, and continue to a huge Lime stone cave (1600 meters in depth) one of the biggest in Thailand. Afterwards we’ll go back to Pai, which is situated in a beautiful green valley surrounded by hot springs, rice fields and a quiet river. Pai is a cozy backpacker place with a lot of yoga, meditation etc. After visiting Pai, we will head for Chiang Mai. After dinner we recommend you to visit the well known night bazaar in Chiang Mai. Day 7 Chiang Mai:
After breakfast we’ll drive to Doi Inthanon, which is the highest mountain in Thailand (2,565 meters), the scenery once again is stunning. On the way to Doi Inthanon we stop at 2 temples dedicated to the living king and queen. The temples are built in Burmese style and are respectively 60 meters and 55 meters high. Back in Chiang Mai, we’ll eat dinner at the hotel, and after that the evening is all yours. We recommended that you walk around the city and enjoy the relaxed atmosphere. (B, L, D)
Day 8 Chiang Mai-Sukhothai – Bangkok:
After having breakfast we visit Maesa Elephant Centre, where it's possible to see the elephants play football, paint paintings and perform tricks. After the show we depart from Chiang Mai towards Bangkok. It’s also possible to end the tour in Chaing Mai. On the way towards Bangkok it’s possible to stop in Lamphang, where you have the possibility to sign up for a 3 days' Mahout training course. It’s also possible to stop in Sukhothai, if you chose to end the trip in Bangkok the expected arrival time is approx. 17:00 at New Road Guest house.(B, L)

To gain the original Thai feeling the food served will mainly be culinary Thai dishes.
Tips are not incl. in the price. But it is common to tip the guide/driver after the trip. Ask the service guides what is reasonable.
