Mekong Delta

Visiting Mekong delta is one of the best ways to experience the rural life in Vietnam. You will discover about Mekong delta when you visit some main places along Tien and Hau river that contained the waterways culture where Mekong river created a specific feature for Nine dragons delta. Coming to this region, you have time to enjoy a pieceful life in hick gardens and visit four beautiful islands (Dragon, Unicon, Turtle and Phoenix) in Mỹ Tho, discovering a famous floating market at the center capital in Mekong delta.

Day 1: Saigon – Mekong Delta – Can Tho. (180km)
Pick up from hotel at 08:00 and start driving to Cai Be. This trip provides a look at a wide variety of the life and scenery of the Delta. On the way, you can see green rice paddy fields stretching towards the horizon. After arrival in Cai Be, take a sampan cruise to visit to the puffed rice cakes and a rice paper-making workshop, popcorn and coconut candy mill. Then visit Cai Be floating market with sellers and buyers bargaining and exchanging their goods from their boats. Continue to visit Ba Kiet ancient house. Have lunch there. Take a boat ride on the maze of shady canals, visit the An Binh islands (Vinh Long). You will enjoy the local tropical fruits and listening folk music,... and then continue driving to Cant Tho. Check in hotel. Free time to explore the area. Have dinner and O/N in hotel.

Day 2: Cai Rang floating market – Chau Doc. (120km)
After having breakfast, start our trip with a boat cruise on sparkling streams along the endless waterway of the vast and mighty Mekong River to the colourful Cai Rang floating market. There will be hundreds of boats loaded with fruits, vegetables and fish, all jostling for trade. Sellers advertise their wares by crying out across the waters. And then visit land market beside river. Here you can see the local people selling many things from agriculture products. Take in the beautiful scenery and the daily activities of the locals who lives along the Mekong canals and you will roam through the village to visit a rice husking mill and a rice noodles making shop. So, you will look the way to made it. Trekking along the village to get in touch with the local people. Turn back the port and continue driving to Chau Doc Town. Visit the woman pagoda and Thoai Ngoc Hau Temple. Check in hotel.

Day 3: Chau Doc – Sai Gon. (or exit by boat to PhnomPenh)
After breakfast at your hotel, take a boat trip through the floating village to visit the fish farm and then visit the Cham minority people. Pick up and drive back to Sai Gon. Arrive in Sai Gon late afternoon.
